Limitless terms of service
Effective: August 24, 2026
Service: Limitless Library, a Univeracity project
Contact: [email protected]
These terms govern the official hosted Limitless Library service, including anonymous service access, queries, signed decisions and outcomes, accounts, organizations, delivery, and publishing when those features are available. They do not govern work performed entirely by the open-source software on your device; repository licenses govern that software.
By using the hosted service, you agree to these terms. If you use it for an organization, you represent that you may bind that organization. If you cannot make that agreement, use the local-only software instead.
What Limitless does
Limitless searches approved supply and returns one high-signal result and a next step, or an honest abstention. It separates discovery, permission, compatibility, delivery, local verification, and observed adoption. A search hit, signature, automated check, or admission decision is not a warranty that work is lawful, secure, non-infringing, fit for your purpose, or safe in your environment.
You remain responsible for reviewing results, licenses, notices, and local effects before installation, execution, publication, or reuse.
Anonymous access, accounts, and keys
You may begin with a service-specific installation key and no account. The key controls that installation's service identity and may later be used to claim its supported history or contributions. Keep it secure. If it is lost, we may be unable to recover anonymous activity without risking another person's security.
Accounts are required for synchronized service history, durable private hosted material, circle or organization administration, recovery, and higher limits when those features are available. You are responsible for activity authorized by your keys or account until you disable or report them.
Your requests and content
Your objectives and content remain yours. You give Limitless permission to process them as needed to provide the feature you requested, secure and operate the service, enforce these terms, and meet legal duties. Query data follows the privacy and data-use notice.
Public submissions require separate acceptance of the exact current Limitless publication-policy digest. Methods and exact components then follow the rights stated in that policy and in each release. Do not submit anything you lack the right to process or publish.
Free and paid use
The service may provide anonymous or account-based free allowances, rate limits, and reset periods. We may change reasonable free limits to protect availability and cost. If paid plans are introduced, their price, billing period, cancellation, and refund terms will be shown before purchase. There is currently no promise that a free allowance or preview feature will continue.
Acceptable use and suspension
Follow the Limitless acceptable-use policy. We may rate-limit, quarantine, refuse, suspend, or terminate access, and may hide or revoke material from future delivery, when reasonably necessary for abuse, security, legal risk, or service integrity. Where practical, we will provide a reason and appeal path.
You may stop using the service at any time. Account deletion, installation disablement, history deletion, and publication withdrawal are subject to the privacy notice, publication policy, immutable-license grants, legal retention, and the features then available.
Availability and changes
The service is evolving and is provided without a service-level agreement unless a separate written agreement says otherwise. An abstention, rate limit, temporary failure, or fallback to local work is normal operation.
We may change the service or these terms. We will ordinarily give at least 30 days' notice of a material terms or data-use change. Changes required for law, security, or urgent abuse prevention may take effect sooner. When the client requires digest-bound acceptance, it will not continue under a materially changed policy until that acceptance occurs.
No warranties
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT ALLOWED BY LAW, THE HOSTED SERVICE AND ITS RESULTS ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” LIMITLESS DISCLAIMS IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. Some jurisdictions do not allow every disclaimer, so these limits apply only as far as the law permits.
Limits on liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT ALLOWED BY LAW, LIMITLESS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION. LIMITLESS'S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR THE HOSTED SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF US$100 OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID LIMITLESS FOR THE SERVICE DURING THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM.
These limits do not apply where applicable law forbids them.
Claims caused by your publication
If your submission causes a third-party claim because you lacked the rights or authority promised in the publication policy, you will defend and reimburse Limitless for reasonable resulting claims, damages, and costs, to the extent allowed by law. Limitless will notify you and allow reasonable participation in the defense.
General terms
These terms, the privacy and data-use notice, acceptable-use policy, and any publication policy you accept form the agreement for the hosted service. If one part cannot be enforced, the rest remains in effect. A failure to enforce a term once is not a waiver. You may not transfer your agreement in a way that evades account, organization, or publication controls. Limitless may transfer it as part of a merger, financing, reorganization, or sale of the service.
Indiana law governs these terms without regard to conflict-of-law rules, unless applicable consumer law requires otherwise.

Limitless privacy and data use
Effective: August 24, 2026
Service: Limitless Library, a Univeracity project
Contact: [email protected]
This notice covers the official Limitless Library website and hosted service. It does not cover work performed entirely by the open-source software on your device. “Limitless,” “we,” and “us” below mean the operator of the official Limitless Library service.
The short version
Limitless can answer a short request without receiving your repository, full prompt history, credentials, or local catalog. The current anonymous default uses the objective for the immediate service query, does not persist or queue the raw objective, and keeps only bounded integrity, decision, outcome, quota, security, and aggregate facts.
We do not sell raw query streams, disclose identifiable customer requests to other participants, or train a general model on task text without a separate explicit opt-in.
Your three independent choices
Limitless separates choices that should not be collapsed into one “private” switch:
| Choice | Current values | What it controls |
|---|
| Execution | Local or service | Whether the objective leaves the device for processing |
| Audience | Private, circle, organization, or public | Who may discover material you deliberately contribute |
| History | Local-only or service-persisted | Whether personal or organization query history is kept by the service |
Local-only history is the default. Service-persisted history requires an account and an explicit choice when that feature is available. Audience never turns a query, result, or local outcome into a contribution.
You may set defaults and narrower operation-, repository-, session-, circle-, or organization-specific choices in supported clients. Widening a sharing audience requires saved authorization. A material policy change requires new acceptance rather than a quiet downgrade.
What the hosted service processes
Depending on the feature, we may process:
- a short objective and typed receiver facts needed to find compatible work;
- an installation public key, opaque installation identifier, signed proofs, short-lived session authority, quota state, and account or organization identity if you later add one;
- request, result, release, and outcome digests; selected capability and index identifiers; timestamps; verification classes; and bounded lifecycle state;
- files, method text, source references, notices, and provenance that you explicitly submit for publication;
- security and network metadata needed to operate, rate-limit, investigate, and protect the service, including IP-derived abuse signals processed by our infrastructure provider; and
- messages and identity information you send when requesting support or exercising a legal right.
The current service is hosted on Cloudflare infrastructure. Other providers may process data only as needed to operate the service, comply with law, or support a feature you choose.
What we do with it
We use this information to:
- answer queries and return signed selections or abstentions;
- verify identity, permissions, compatibility, integrity, delivery, and receiver-reported outcomes;
- admit, rank, deliver, revise, quarantine, and withdraw publications;
- enforce quotas, prevent abuse, investigate incidents, and meet legal duties;
- operate support, account, organization, and paid features when available; and
- improve retrieval, detect missing supply, measure reliability and avoided reconstruction, and produce reuse intelligence from protected aggregates.
Protected aggregates may be retained and used for product, research, and commercial analysis. We do not use them to reconstruct an individual's raw query, and we do not expose slices that reveal a person's or organization's work. Any materially broader use requires a revised policy and, where appropriate, explicit opt-in.
Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we process information to perform the service agreement, with your explicit choice for optional history or publication, for legitimate interests such as security and service improvement that do not override your rights, and to comply with law. You may withdraw a consent-based choice prospectively, but that does not undo lawful processing already completed or an irrevocable public license.
Current retention
| Data | Current retention |
|---|
| Raw objective under local-only history | Used for the immediate request; not persisted or queued |
| Short-lived session and replay authority | No more than 70 minutes |
| Decision and outcome projections | 30 days |
| Installation identity | Until disabled or deleted |
| Local history | Controlled by the user on their device |
| Service-persisted history | Account opt-in; retained until deleted when available |
| Public release content, provenance, lineage, and tombstones | Indefinite |
| Protected aggregate counters | Indefinite |
| Security, support, and legally required records | As reasonably necessary for that purpose |
Withdrawal hides a release from future selection. It cannot recall copies already received, revoke an otherwise irrevocable reuse license, or erase the minimal provenance and tombstone needed to prevent unsafe rediscovery.
Publishing
Public publishing is governed by the separately accepted Limitless publication policy. Public material may be indexed, cached, delivered, and retained indefinitely. Optional HTTPS source references may travel with a source-free method; local filesystem paths do not. Exact files transfer only when they are explicitly included through the publication flow—Limitless does not treat workspace access or a search result as permission to upload them.
Supported clients may offer Automatic + Public as a saved standing authorization. If you deliberately enable it, qualifying methods can transfer without a prompt for every item. A publication-policy change pauses that path until you review and save against the new digest.
When information is shared
We may share information:
- with infrastructure and service providers acting for us;
- with an organization or circle when you use that explicitly authorized scope;
- with the public when you publish admitted public material;
- when reasonably necessary to comply with law or protect people, rights, and the service; or
- as part of a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or sale, subject to this notice and any required notice or choice.
We may process information in the United States and other countries where our providers operate.
Your choices and requests
You may keep execution and history local, avoid creating an account, stop using the service, disable an installation, withdraw a publication, or request access, correction, export, or deletion where applicable. Anonymous requests may require proof that you control the relevant installation key. If that key is lost, we may be unable to associate an anonymous record with you without weakening someone else's privacy or security.
Contact [email protected]. We may need enough information to verify and complete the request. You may appeal a denied privacy request by replying to the decision. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to know, correct, delete, obtain, or opt out of certain uses of personal data and to complain to your local regulator. Limitless does not use personal data for targeted advertising or sell personal data.
Children
The hosted service is not directed to children under 13. Do not use it or publish through it if applicable law does not allow you to consent to this processing without a parent or guardian.
Changes
The service advertises its effective technical data-use policy by revision and digest. We will provide notice of material changes and require new acceptance when the client policy requires it. We may make immediate changes needed for law, security, or abuse prevention, but we will not silently apply a weaker history or disclosure setting to an existing request.

Limitless acceptable use
Effective: August 24, 2026
Service: Limitless Library, a Univeracity project
Contact: [email protected]
Do not use the official Limitless service to:
- break the law or violate another person's rights;
- publish work you do not have authority to share or mark private, circle, or organization material as public;
- expose secrets, credentials, private personal data, or non-public work;
- distribute malware, destructive payloads, or intrusion tooling for harmful use—good-faith security work on systems you own or are authorized to test is allowed;
- attack Limitless, another user, or a connected system; bypass quotas, signatures, isolation, admission, or access controls; or probe for another tenant's information;
- scrape or automate the service outside its documented interfaces, overload it, evade limits through multiple identities, or interfere with normal use;
- forge provenance, rights, outcomes, verification, adoption evidence, identities, or endorsements;
- use the service for spam, harassment, exploitation, or content that creates an immediate risk of serious harm; or
- reconstruct, sell, or disclose another person's or organization's non-public queries, activity, or competitive intelligence.
Limitless may refuse, quarantine, rate-limit, suspend, reject, remove, or hide material when reasonably necessary to enforce these rules, protect the service, or comply with law. Automated admission means only that automated checks passed; it is not a declaration that content is lawful, safe, secure, or appropriate for a particular receiver.
When practical, we will provide a reason and a way to appeal. We may preserve evidence and report conduct when required by law or needed to address an immediate security or safety threat.

Limitless publication policy
Approved: August 24, 2026
Effective: August 24, 2026, when public intake advertises this document's signed technical-policy digest.
Service: Limitless Library, a Univeracity project
Contact: [email protected]
This policy governs content submitted for public reuse through the official Limitless Library service. By submitting an electronic acceptance for a signed technical policy that identifies the exact URL and digest of this document, and then submitting content, you agree to this policy and make the grants below.
You may publish under an installation key without displaying a personal name. Anonymous does not mean ownerless. The installation signature still binds the submission, and linking an account later does not cure a grant you lacked the right to make.
You must have the rights
You promise that:
- you created the submission or have authority to make every grant it needs;
- third-party material is identified, carries its actual license, and includes every required notice;
- the submission contains no secret, stolen work, private personal data, or material you were not allowed to disclose; and
none, unknown, unlicensed, repository visibility, workspace access, or an agent's ability to read a file is not treated as permission.
Limitless may refuse, quarantine, reject, restrict, or withdraw a release if these promises are doubtful or wrong. Submission does not imply admission, ranking, verification, endorsement, or fitness.
Source-free methods use CC0
A source-free method is concise guidance you authored independently: its steps, constraints, verification, and limitations—not another person's source code or expressive text.
When you publish a source-free method, you apply CC0 1.0 Universal to that method. To the extent a jurisdiction does not recognize the CC0 waiver, its fallback license applies. CC0 is intended to be irrevocable.
An optional source reference records provenance. It does not incorporate the linked material into the method, change the linked material's license, or prove that copying from it was allowed. Do not use CC0 for copied or closely rewritten licensed material.
CC0 does not affect patent, trademark, privacy, or publicity rights. The patent grant below is separate.
Exact components keep their declared license
Exact files and packages keep the license you declare for those bytes. Receivers use them under that license, not under CC0. Third-party code never defaults to CC0, and public exact material without an adequate license and notices is refused.
If a license requires copyright lines, license text, source availability, or a NOTICE file, include the required material in the release. A repository path alone is not enough. Limitless will not intentionally strip required notices from an admitted exact release.
Patent grant
To the extent you can grant patent rights, you grant Limitless and every recipient of an admitted release a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive patent license to make, use, offer, sell, import, reproduce, modify, and distribute that contribution, but only for patent claims your contribution necessarily infringes by itself or in the combination you submitted.
If a recipient brings a patent claim alleging that the contribution or a release containing it infringes, that recipient's patent license under this section ends for the contribution. A file license with its own patent terms still applies according to that license.
License to operate Limitless
You grant Limitless a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, copy, validate, scan, index, format, create discovery metadata from, sign, cache, display, and deliver the submission as needed to operate, secure, and improve Limitless. This service license does not replace the public reuse license attached to the method or exact files.
Public means public
After admission, a public release may be searched, cached, downloaded, reused, and analyzed by anyone under its stated license. Do not publish material that should remain private, within a circle, or within an organization. Those scopes are separate and are not offered by this public publication policy.
Releases do not change in place
An admitted release is immutable. Corrections create a successor with lineage; they do not rewrite history. You may withdraw a release from future results, but withdrawal cannot recall copies already received or cancel rights that were already granted irrevocably. Limitless may retain minimal content, provenance, lineage, moderation evidence, and tombstones needed for legal, security, and safe-reuse purposes.
Everything else
Follow the Limitless terms of service and acceptable-use policy. Automated checks are not a warranty, endorsement, or certification. Publishing does not license Limitless or Univeracity names, logos, or trademarks, and reuse must not imply endorsement.
A later policy revision applies only after the required new acceptance. Existing releases retain the policy digest under which they were admitted.
